Tips For Winning Beyblade Competitions

Beyblade spin tops are based on a popular import television anime series that originated in Japan. The show tails a young adolescent boy that travels the countryside competing in a series of competitions against masters and other beybladers for rights to the title of beyblading champion of the world. He carries around a specifically chosen beyblade that is propelled from his launcher into an arena with one or more other competitors. The winner of the competition is determined when the other challenger is either knocked out of the arena or is incapacitated and cannot spin any longer. Each top has a specific name and is equipped with "hardware" that emphasizes a different strength that can be used in battle. Some spin faster then others, while others are able to out muscle their opponent during contact, shoving them to the sides of the arena, which is where the incapacitation pits are usually located. Here are some tips to help you win your competitions.

Choose Your Competitor Carefully

There are numerous beyblades to choose from when selecting your top. Ideally, you should choose one that is an officially branded top; since they tend to be balanced properly and will often outspin the Chinese knockoffs. Similar to all products, you may find a cheaper alternative on a Chinese off brand, however it will almost always behave like an off branded top and be easily knocked out of competition much more quickly then officially branded blades.

Time Your Insertion During Competition

During competitions it is essential to carefully position yourself by dropping your beyblade in after your opponent does it first. Ideally, you should drop it into the center point of the arena, which will allow for an advantage in knocking your opponent into one of the few incapacitation pits located along the outer edges of the arena.

Steady Release

When using the launcher to deploy your beyblade be sure to keep your hands steady and drop the top into the center of the arena. The steadier your hands, the easier it will be for the top to spin for a longer period of time upon hitting the beyblade arena ground. Any time you drop the top at an angle, the sides of will scrape the ground and produce friction, which reduces the speed that the beyblade spins, greatly diminishing your longevity against opponents.
